The Hikvision DS-1276ZJ-P-Y is a genuine Hikvision corner mounting adapter, letting a camera bracket be fixed to an external building corner rather than a flat wall.

Who is it for?

Corners are often the best position for a camera — one mounting point covers two elevations, and it is the natural spot for watching a yard entrance or an approach. The difficulty is that a flat-backed bracket cannot sit properly on a 90-degree corner; it rocks on the arris and never pulls up square. This adapter gives the bracket a flat face to bolt to while its own angled back sits tight against both walls.

It also puts the camera further out from the building, which helps where guttering, a downpipe or a projecting sill would otherwise clip the bottom of the frame.

What you'll need with it

• The camera bracket. This is an adapter, not a camera mount on its own — it carries a wall or pendant bracket. Tell us the camera and we will confirm the combination.
• Fixings rated for the substrate, with enough edge distance from the corner that they do not blow out the brick arris.
• Sealant at the cable entry and along the top edge — corners take driven rain from two directions.

It is sized for standard camera brackets. For speed domes, ask us — the heavier corner mounts are a different part.
