Radar sensors replace loops buried in the road. A trigger radar opens the barrier when a vehicle approaches. An anti-fall radar holds the boom (the arm) up while a vehicle is still underneath.
What do I need for a barrier lane?
- Barrier body: the motor unit at the side of the lane.
- Boom pole: ordered separately from the barrier body. Measure the lane to get the right length.
- Trigger radar: opens the barrier as a vehicle arrives.
- Anti-fall radar: stops the boom coming down on a vehicle.
- Number plate entry: see ANPR and parking cameras.
