How our intercom kit builder works
Pick a brand. Dahua, Hikvision or Uniview. Each kit stays within one brand, because door stations and monitors only talk to their own maker's equipment and app.
Choose IP or 2-wire. IP for new installs; 2-wire to reuse the two wires of an old doorbell or intercom. The builder then only shows parts that work on that system.
Start from an intercom kit, or skip it. A kit gives you a door station and an indoor monitor in one box.
Door stations, modules and mounting. Add a door station for each entrance, the modules a modular panel needs (buttons, keypad, card reader), and a surface box, flush box or rain hood.
Indoor monitors. One per flat, or one for each room you want to answer from.
2-wire distributors and power for 2-wire systems.
PoE switches. For IP systems, pick a PoE switch from the intercom brand or from Ruijie Reyee. The builder counts your door stations and monitors and marks the switch with enough PoE ports.

Dahua

Hikvision
The widest range: villa and modular door stations, face-recognition panels and Android indoor stations on Hik-Connect, in IP, 2-wire IP and 2-wire HD versions. Hikvision makes two current 2-wire ranges: 2-wire IP (model numbers ending in Y) and 2-wire HD (ending in EY), plus an older first-generation range. They do not mix, so the builder keeps them apart.
Do I need a PoE switch for an IP intercom?
Each IP door station and indoor monitor needs one PoE port, unless it's a Wi-Fi model running from a plug-in adapter. If your router or an existing switch doesn't have enough PoE ports, add a PoE switch. The builder offers the intercom brand's own switches and Ruijie Reyee switches, and marks the smallest one with enough ports for what you've chosen. Some kits already include a switch or power supply; check the kit's description.
Questions about the intercom kit builder
Can I mix Dahua, Hikvision and Uniview in one intercom?
No. Door stations and indoor monitors only work with their own maker's equipment and app, so each kit stays within one brand. PoE switches are the exception: any PoE switch powers any brand, so Ruijie Reyee switches are offered for every brand.
Can I reuse the wires from my old doorbell or intercom?
Usually, yes. Choose 2-wire in the builder. 2-wire systems send power, video and audio over one existing pair, through a distributor or 2-wire switch.
How many indoor monitors can I have?
Most systems let several monitors answer the same door station, and you can also answer from the app on your phone. Add one monitor for each room or flat you want to answer from.
Does the intercom open the door?
Door stations have a relay to release an electric lock or gate. The lock itself and its power supply are not part of the builder; see our access control range or ask us.
Why can't I see Hikvision prices?
Hikvision is sold at trade prices. Register a trade account and, once logged in, you can build a kit and see your prices. Everyone else can send us the kit list for a quote. Dahua, Uniview and Ruijie prices are shown to everyone.
