A HiLook DVR records HD-TVI cameras over coax cable. This category holds the HiLook by Hikvision DVRs we list, with 4, 8, 16 or 32 channels. Every model also accepts AHD, CVI and older analogue (CVBS) cameras, and can add IP cameras over the network.

Choosing a HiLook DVR

  • Channels: one for each coax camera. The DVR-232Q-M2 takes 32.
  • Recording resolution: the DVR-204G-F1 records up to 1080p Lite, the DVR-204Q-K1 up to 4MP Lite and the DVR-216Q-M2 up to 5MP Lite. The DVR-208U-M1/T encodes up to 4K (8MP).
  • Audio: models ending /T support audio over coax. Most, such as the DVR-204G-M1/T, have two-way audio on every HD-TVI channel.
  • Smart alerts: the U-series models (DVR-204U-M1, DVR-208U-M1/T, DVR-216U-M1/T and DVR-216U-M2) add AcuSense person and vehicle detection.
  • Storage: most have one hard drive bay. The DVR-216Q-M2, DVR-216U-M2 and DVR-232Q-M2 have two.

A DVR does not power the cameras, so they need a separate power supply: 12V for fixed cameras, and see the product page for PTZ domes. Choose a drive from CCTV hard drives, see cameras and recorders with audio over coax, or go back to HiLook by Hikvision.
