Is a kit right for my job?
Count your doors: kits suit one or two doors. For more, build a system from door controllers and readers.
Check the lock suits the door: fail-safe (unlocks without power) or fail-secure (stays locked). The fire strategy and escape route decide this.
Plan the exit: most doors also need a push-to-exit button on the inside.
Allow for cable: readers need multi-core cable. See cabling.
