How a Hikvision video doorbell is wired
- Wi-Fi: the DS-KB6403-WIP and Wi-Fi door stations join your home Wi-Fi and need power at the door.
- IP (network cable): PoE door stations and kits run on one network cable that carries power, video and audio. Add a PoE switch if your router has no PoE ports.
- 2-wire: reuse the existing pair from an old doorbell through a 2-wire distributor.

Does Hikvision make a video doorbell?
Yes. Hikvision makes a stand-alone Wi-Fi video doorbell (DS-KB6403-WIP) that rings your phone in the Hik-Connect app, and villa door stations that work as video doorbells with an indoor screen. Both are listed on this page.
Which Hikvision doorbell works with my phone?
All of them. The DS-KB6403-WIP calls your phone directly. The villa door stations and doorbell kits ring the indoor screen and the Hik-Connect app at the same time, so you can answer from anywhere.
Do I need an indoor screen?
Only for the villa door stations. The DS-KB6403-WIP Wi-Fi doorbell works with just your phone. The doorbell kits include a 7in indoor screen in the box.
Can I keep my old doorbell wiring?
Yes, with the DS-KIS704EY 2-wire kit. It sends power, video and audio over the two wires an old doorbell or intercom already uses, through the distributor in the box.
Can a Hikvision doorbell open the door?
The villa door stations have lock relays, so with an electric lock or gate release fitted you can let visitors in from the indoor screen or the app. TalkVu door stations can also open the door by face, QR code, card or Bluetooth.

We deliver to England, Scotland and Wales, normally within 1–2 working days, or you can collect from our Wolverhampton trade counter (please call first).
