Ruijie Reyee kit builder: how it works

Choose home or business. For a home, tell us the floor area, the number of floors and the walls, and the builder suggests a Reyee M18 or M32 mesh system with enough units to reach every room, plus cables for a smart TV, console or desk. For a business, add each area that needs Wi-Fi: the builder counts the Reyee access points, then sizes the PoE switches, the EG gateway, the cabinet and the Cat6 cable to match.

Every product shown is in stock, with live prices. At the end you can add the whole kit to your basket in one go, or press “Ask us to check it” and our team will look over the list before you order.

How many Reyee access points do I need?

It depends on the size of the space, the walls and how many people use it at once. Ruijie gives a recommended number of clients for each model rather than a coverage area, so the builder plans conservatively: about 70 devices per access point (more on high-density models) and fewer square metres per access point for brick and concrete walls than for plasterboard or open-plan spaces. You can change the count for any area.

Reyee wall-plate access points fit on a standard back box, which suits hotel rooms, student rooms and flats: set one per room with the + button if you want every room covered. Outdoor models are weatherproof for car parks, yards and beer gardens.

No controller to buy: the EG gateway and Ruijie Cloud

A Reyee network is managed free in Ruijie Cloud and the Reyee app, with no licence for the core features. The Reyee EG gateway is the router, firewall and controller in one, so there is no separate controller box. Ruijie rates each EG gateway for a number of connected devices and managed access points: for example the EG105G for 100 devices and 32 access points, the EG210G-P for 200 devices and 150 access points, and the EG710XS for 700 devices and 750 access points. The builder picks the smallest one that fits your site, allowing 1.5 devices per person.

Reyee EG gateways connect to Ethernet broadband (full fibre, cable or a leased line). For phone-line, 4G or 5G internet, call us and we will suggest a setup.

Reyee PoE switches

Reyee access points take their power over the network cable (PoE). The builder uses Reyee cloud-managed switches, so every switch appears in Ruijie Cloud, and checks the number of PoE ports and the total PoE budget against what the access points, cameras and phones draw, with 15% spare. Ruijie publishes no margin of its own, so the spare is our rule. The Reyee switches we stock are gigabit, so 2.5G access points connect at 1 Gbps.

Reyee mesh for homes

Reyee M18 and M32 mesh units link to each other to cover the whole home, set up in the Reyee app. Ruijie recommends about 12 devices on 2.4 GHz and 36 on 5 GHz for each M18, and 12 and 48 for each M32. The builder suggests at least one unit per floor and adds more for bigger or solid-walled homes. Running cable between units gives the fastest result.

Link two buildings without a cable

A Reyee wireless bridge links a second building, a gatehouse or a yard to your network: up to 500 m, 1 km, 5 km or 15 km depending on the model. The two ends need a clear line of sight, and the distances are Ruijie's own lab figures. Some bridges run on passive PoE from their own adapter rather than a standard PoE switch port, and the builder says which. Browse the Ruijie Reyee range.

Cable, cabinet and patch panels

Each access point, camera, phone and desk point needs its own Cat6 cable back to the cabinet. Ethernet runs must be 100 metres or less. The builder works out the boxes of cable, a patch panel for every 24 cables, brush panels, shelves, a PDU and the right size of wall cabinet with spare space. For a home, short runs use ready-made Cat6 leads up to 20 metres, so no tools are needed. Browse network cable and wall cabinets.

Questions

How many Reyee access points does my office need?
It depends on the floor area, the walls and how many people connect at once. The builder allows about 70 devices per access point and fewer square metres per access point for brick or concrete walls, and you can change the count for each area.

Do I need a controller for Ruijie Reyee?
No. The Reyee EG gateway has the controller built in, and Reyee networks are managed free in Ruijie Cloud and the Reyee app.

Which Reyee EG gateway do I need?
It depends on how many devices connect and how many access points it manages. Ruijie rates the EG105G for 100 devices and 32 access points, the EG210G-P for 200 devices and 150 access points, and the EG710XS for 700 devices and 750 access points. The builder picks the right one for your site.

Can I link two buildings without a cable?
Yes, with a Reyee wireless bridge. Choose the distance in the builder: up to 500 m, 1 km, 5 km or 15 km. The two ends need a clear line of sight.

Is there Reyee mesh Wi-Fi for homes?
Yes. Choose a home in the builder and it suggests Reyee M18 or M32 mesh units for your floor area and floors, plus cables for any wired points.

Do you install?
No, we supply the kit. Use “Ask us to check it” and we will look over your list before you order.
