Hikvision DS-KV6113-WPE1 — Wi-Fi one-button IP villa door station

The DS-KV6113-WPE1 takes the KV6113 villa door station and adds Wi-Fi. That matters on retrofit jobs: a detached gate pillar or a porch with power but no data can join the intercom system wirelessly, with a 12 VDC supply at the door. Where there is a cable, it works exactly like its wired sibling, the DS-KV6113-PE1, including PoE.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. Camera, WDR and compression

The camera streams 1920 × 1080 (with 720p and a 640 × 480 sub stream) across a 131° horizontal by 78° vertical field of view. Wide dynamic range is rated at 120 dB, so a visitor standing against low sun is still readable, and IR reaches about 3 m for night-time calls. H.265 keeps the recorded bandwidth down when the stream is stored on an NVR or indoor station.

Access and door control

Alongside the call button the station acts as a small access controller: 2000 users and 10,000 cards in local memory, one lock relay rated to 30 VDC 2 A, an exit-button input, a door-contact input, four alarm inputs and an RS-485 port. A tamper switch reports interference. A reserved TF-card slot is present on the board.

Networking options

Connect by RJ45 (10/100 Mbps) or by Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. The station speaks TCP/IP, RTSP, IPv6 and ONVIF, so the door camera can also be pulled into a Hikvision NVR as a channel. Set-up is through iVMS-4200 or Hik-Connect, and the Hik-Connect app can answer calls and release the door remotely.

What you'll need with it

• A 12 VDC supply at the door if you are relying on Wi-Fi (PoE is available when cabled)

Frequently asked questions

Can it run on Wi-Fi alone?

Yes for data — the radio is 802.11b/g/n. It still needs power, so use a 12 VDC supply at the door position. If you have a cable, PoE does both.

How many users and cards does it store?

2000 users and 10,000 cards, per the datasheet.

Is it ONVIF?

Yes — TCP/IP, RTSP, IPv6 and ONVIF are listed, so the door camera can be added to a recorder as an ONVIF channel.

What is the difference from the DS-KV6113-PE1?

Wi-Fi. The wired DS-KV6113-PE1 has no radio; camera, button count and housing are otherwise the same family design.

What is the lock relay rated at?

One relay, maximum 30 VDC 2 A, plus an exit-button input and a door-contact input.
