Hikvision DS-KH6110-WE1 — compact 4.3" Wi-Fi video intercom indoor station

The DS-KH6110-WE1 is for the installer who needs an IP indoor station that is small, neat and quick to fit. It answers the door station, shows the caller on a 4.3" screen, releases the lock and, because it has Wi-Fi as well as an Ethernet port, it can go on a wall with power but no data. It links up to 16 extensions, so a bigger property can still have a handset in every room. A white version is listed separately; for a 7" screen see the DS-KH8380-WTE1.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. Small screen, full function

The 4.3" TFT (480 × 272) is operated by capacitive touch and nine touch buttons, so answering, unlocking and muting are single presses rather than menu dives. Audio is a built-in omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker with G.711 U/A at 64 Kbps and noise suppression and echo cancellation. Two hundred events and 200 notices are stored on the unit.

Wi-Fi or PoE

Connect over Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n on 2.4 GHz, or plug in the RJ45 (100 Mbps). Power is PoE 802.3af through that same cable, or 12 VDC where you are relying on Wi-Fi. Consumption is 4 W or less. The station speaks TCP/IP, SIP and RTSP, and four alarm inputs are available for door contacts or panic buttons that should raise an alert on the screen.

Fit and finish

At 120 × 120 × 21 mm it mounts on the wall or stands on a table, and its Linux platform (16 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM) keeps boot and response times short. Operating range is -10 °C to 50 °C indoors.
