Hikvision DS-KV8113-WME1 — metal Wi-Fi villa door station with two lock relays

The DS-KV8113-WME1 is the metal one-button station in Hikvision's KV8 villa line. It is built for entrances that get knocked: a metal body rated IK08 for impact and IP65 for weather. Inside is a full door controller with two lock relays, and the network side offers both Wi-Fi and RJ45. Two-button and four-button versions — the DS-KV8213-WME1 and DS-KV8413-WME1 — share the housing for two- and four-flat entrances, and a flush-mount version is available.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. Camera

The 1080p main stream (with 720p and a 640 × 480 sub stream) covers a 124° horizontal by 75° vertical field of view. Digital WDR is rated at 76.9 dB and the IR supplement reaches about 3 m. H.265 is available for recording economy alongside H.264 and MJPEG, and the station speaks TCP/IP, RTSP, IPv6 and ONVIF.

Two doors from one station

The KV8 board carries two lock relays (30 VDC 2 A each), two exit-button inputs and two door-contact inputs, so a porch door and an inner door, or a pedestrian gate and a front door, can both be controlled and monitored from the one unit. Four alarm inputs, an RS-485 port and a tamper switch complete the I/O. Local memory holds 2000 users and 10,000 cards read at 13.56 MHz.

System capacity and networking

The datasheet allows one main indoor station and up to 16 sub door stations, so it suits a house with a second entrance as well as a single door. Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n on 2.4 GHz (20/40 MHz channels) or 10/100 Mbps RJ45; power over standard PoE or 12 VDC, under 10 W. IP65 and IK08 with a -40 °C to 53 °C operating range.
