Hikvision DS-KH8350-TE1 — wired 7" IPS indoor station with eight alarm inputs

The DS-KH8350-TE1 is the cabled member of Hikvision's 7" Pro indoor stations. It has no Wi-Fi by design: on a new-build or a block with structured cabling, PoE gives every flat a powered, reliable connection and one less radio to manage. What it adds over the entry-level stations is I/O — eight alarm inputs and two alarm outputs for door contacts, PIRs and sounders, plus two lock-control outputs — and a microSD slot for storing visitor snapshots. The Wi-Fi sibling is listed as DS-KH8350-WTE1; the newer DS-KH8380-WTE1 and aluminium DS-KH8381-WTE1 add H.265 and four relays.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. Screen and sound

The 7" IPS panel at 1024 × 600 holds its colour from the side, which matters on a hallway wall you approach at an angle. Sound is a built-in omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker with G.711 U/A and G.722.1 at 64 Kbps plus noise suppression and echo cancellation, and the volume is adjustable.

I/O for more than the door

Eight alarm inputs let the station double as a small alarm keypad — door contacts, a PIR, a panic button — with two alarm outputs to drive a sounder or a relay. Two high/low-level lock outputs (3.3 V / 0 V) are provided, and an RS-485 port. Capacity is 17 linked door stations, 16 network cameras (viewable on the screen) and 16 indoor extensions; 200 notices are stored, and a microSD card up to 128 GB holds snapshots.

Power and mounting

PoE 802.3af over the RJ45, or 12 VDC 1 A. Consumption is ≤ 8 W. It surface-mounts at 180 × 140 × 22.4 mm, runs on Linux (32 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM) and speaks TCP/IP, SIP and RTSP.
