How to build a Dahua intercom kit
Choose IP or 2-wire IP. IP (network cable or Wi-Fi) for new installs; 2-wire IP to reuse the two wires of an old doorbell or intercom.
Start from a Dahua intercom kit, or skip it. A kit gives you a door station and an indoor monitor in one box.
Door stations, modules and mounting. A villa door station for a house, or a modular panel with call buttons, keypad or card reader for flats and businesses, plus a surface or flush box and rain hood.
Indoor monitors, including Android smart panels, one per flat or per room you want to answer from.
A 2-wire distributor for 2-wire systems, or a Dahua PoE switch for IP systems. The builder counts your devices and marks the switch with enough PoE ports.

Do I have to start with a Dahua intercom kit?
No. The kit step is optional. Skip it and choose the door station, monitors and power yourself.
Can I answer my Dahua intercom on my phone?
Yes. Dahua intercoms connect to the free DMSS app, so you can see and talk to visitors and open the door from your phone.
Are Dahua intercom prices shown?
Yes. Dahua prices are shown to everyone, in the builder and on product pages.
Can I reuse the wires from my old doorbell or intercom?
Usually, yes. Choose 2-wire in the builder. 2-wire systems send power, video and audio over one existing pair, through a distributor or 2-wire switch.
Does the intercom open the door?
Door stations have a relay to release an electric lock or gate. The lock itself and its power supply are not part of the builder; see our access control range or ask us.
