The DS-TDSB0G-FK/60m is a perimeter security radar. It detects people out to 60 m and vehicles out to 120 m across a 120° field, tracks up to 32 targets at once, and can steer a PTZ camera onto whichever one matters — so the camera looks where the radar is pointing instead of an operator hunting for it.

Unlike a beam or a PIR, radar reports the range, angle and speed of each target, so you can draw warning zones and trigger lines on a map rather than just tripping a line. Of the three radars in this range it has the widest vertical beam at 30°, which suits a shorter perimeter with uneven ground. It is rated IP67 and IK10 and works from -40 °C to 65 °C.

Frequently asked questions

How far does it detect?

Hikvision quotes 60 m for a person and 120 m for a vehicle, over a 120° horizontal field. Real range depends on mounting height and what is in the way — it is a line-of-sight device.

Is this the same as the parking barrier radars?

No. This is a perimeter security radar for detecting intruders across a site. The DS-TMG035 barrier radars are short-range devices for opening a boom and stopping it dropping on a car.

Can it make a PTZ camera follow an intruder?

Yes. Radar plus PTZ smart tracking is supported, managed through Hik-Central Pro, so the camera is steered onto the target the radar is tracking.

How high should it be mounted?

Hikvision recommends 2 to 4 m, with 2.5 m as the suggested height. Getting this right matters more than anything else for reliable detection, so tell us about your site and we will go through it.

Will weather set it off?

Radar is far less troubled by fog, rain and moving headlights than a beam or a PIR. Hikvision provides expert, open and shrub scene modes to tune out moving vegetation.
