Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM45 - Junction Box for Dome Camera

The Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM45 is a genuine Hikvision junction box, mounting between a dome camera and the surface so all cabling is enclosed and weatherproofed.

Who is it for?

Any external dome install where the cable comes out of the wall or ceiling rather than through the camera base — most retro-fit work on brick and render. It hides the cable tails and connectors, keeps water off the joints, and gives you somewhere to coil the slack that always ends up left over.

It also lifts the camera clear of textured surfaces, where a flush base would rock on the high points and never quite seal.

What you'll need with it

• A matching camera. Junction boxes are model-specific — the mounting holes and diameter must line up with the camera base. Send us the camera model and we will confirm the right one before you order.
• Fixings for the substrate, rated for the camera's weight since the box carries it.
• Sealant for the cable entry on any external installation.

Not if the cable comes up through the camera base from inside. For surface-run cable outdoors it is strongly recommended — it is what keeps the connections dry.
