The Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-PT6-Y is a genuine Hikvision junction box, mounting between the camera and the surface so the cable and connectors sit enclosed and weatherproofed.

Who is it for?

Surface-run installations — the cable comes out of the wall or soffit rather than through the camera base, which describes most retro-fit work on existing buildings. The box takes the tails and connectors, keeps water off the joints, and gives you room for the slack that is always left over once the run is dressed in.

It also raises the camera slightly off the surface, which matters on textured brick, render or cladding where a flush base rocks on the high points and will not seal evenly.
