Ajax DoorProtect Plus U Jeweller - Wireless Door and Window Contact
DoorProtect Plus U Jeweller fits on a door or window frame and tells the Ajax hub when it opens. As well as its magnetic reed switches it carries an accelerometer, so it can also report a knock against the frame or a change in its angle. A large and a small magnet are both in the box; you fit just one of them, on either the left or the right of the detector. A terminal for a wired normally-closed contact lets an existing wired detector join the wireless system through it. It runs for up to 5 years on one CR123A battery and is made for indoor fitting. Choose white or black above.

Works with
Ajax hubs and range extenders that use the Jeweller radio, for example Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller. Older hubs may need a firmware update first; ask us if you are unsure. The chime needs an Ajax siren on the same system.
Common questions
Which magnet should I use?
Either one, whichever fits the frame. Fit only one magnet, on the left or right of the detector; it recognises a single magnet on one side only.
Can it tell if someone hits or levers the door?
It can report a knock on the frame through its shock sensor, which has 3 sensitivity levels, and a change in its angle through its tilt sensor, with a threshold you set between 5° and 25°.
Can I connect a wired contact to it?
Yes. It has a terminal for one wired detector with a normally-closed (NC) contact, which then reports through this detector.
Can it chime when the door opens?
Yes. With the system disarmed, a connected Ajax siren can play a chime when an opening is detected.
Can it be fitted outdoors?
No. Ajax rates it for indoor use only (IP50), at -10 °C to +40 °C and humidity up to 75%.
How long does the battery last?
Ajax calculates up to 5 years from the CR123A battery supplied in it.
