Ajax DoorProtect U Jeweller - Wireless Door and Window Contact
DoorProtect U Jeweller is a battery-powered opening detector for Ajax wireless alarms. The detector goes on the frame and a magnet goes on the door or window, and when they are pulled apart it reports to the hub over the encrypted Jeweller radio. It has a reed switch on each side, so the magnet can sit to the left or the right, and both a big and a small magnet come in the box to suit different frames. A terminal for a wired normally closed contact means one detector can also look after a second door or window. Choose white or black above.

Works with
Ajax Jeweller hubs, for example Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller and Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, and the ReX 2 Jeweller range extender. Its terminal takes a wired NC contact for a second opening.
Common questions
Which side does the magnet go on?
Either side. There is a reed switch on the left and on the right, so you can choose whichever suits the frame. Fit only one magnet, as the detector reads one magnet on one side.
Why are there two magnets?
The big magnet is the same size as the detector, 103 × 22 × 21 mm. The small one is 55 × 11 × 6 mm, which helps where there is little room on the door or window.
Can one detector cover two openings?
Yes. Wire a normally closed contact from the second door or window into its terminal, and both report through this one detector.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 7 years on the CR123A battery that comes fitted, by Ajax's calculation.
Can I fit it outside or in a shed?
Ajax rates it for indoor use only (IP50, -10 °C to +40 °C). Choose a dry indoor frame.
Will it beep when someone opens the door?
It can. With the chime feature on, an Ajax siren plays a sound when an opening detector is triggered while the system is disarmed.
