GlandBox mounts on the wall behind the Ajax EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller control panel so the cables can come in from the side on surface-wired jobs, where they cannot be brought in through the wall. Around its edges are 16 places for cable glands of up to 20 mm. Each one is a recess that stops the drill bit wandering while you cut the hole, and Ajax suggests a hole saw for plastic of up to 20 mm. Inside, fasteners let you tie the cables together. A bubble level, an UP mark and a centre mark for the panel help you set it level on the wall. It has a tamper button, so the panel's tamper protection still works. Cable glands are not included. Choose white or black above.

Ajax EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller, the control panel of the Ajax EN54 Line wireless fire alarm system. You also need cable glands of up to 20 mm, sold separately.

Common questions

Do I need GlandBox for every EN54 Fire Hub?

No. It is for installations where the cables cannot be brought into the panel through the wall behind it. GlandBox lets them run on the surface and enter from the side through glands.

Are cable glands included?

No. Fit your own glands of up to 20 mm diameter, in up to 16 places.

How do I make the holes?

Each gland place has a recess that keeps the drill bit from moving. Ajax recommends a hole saw for plastic, up to 20 mm.

Does it affect tamper protection?

GlandBox has a tamper button, so the panel can still report if it is taken off the wall.

Can it be fitted outside?

No. Ajax says it is for indoor use only, at -10 °C to +40 °C and humidity up to 75% non-condensing.
