Ajax GlassProtect Jeweller - Wireless Glass Break Detector, Black
GlassProtect Jeweller is a battery-powered detector that listens for the sound of glass being broken. Its microphone covers 180° and up to 9 m, so one detector on the wall facing a run of windows or a patio door can watch the whole area. It reports to the Ajax hub over the two-way Jeweller radio and runs for up to 7 years on a single CR123A battery. This listing is the black version.

Common questions
Will it hear glass that has a film on it?
No. Ajax says it will not detect breaking glass that is covered with shatterproof, sun-control, decorative or any other film. Use opening or shock detection on filmed glass instead.
How far away can it be from the window?
Up to 9 m, across a 180° field, with three sensitivity levels to set it for the room.
How long does the battery last?
Ajax quotes up to 7 years on the CR123A battery that comes fitted.
Can I connect a wired door contact to it?
Yes. It has an input for one wired detector with a normally closed (NC) contact, and the cable is supplied.
Can it be fitted outside?
No. Ajax designs it for indoor use only (IP50), at -10 °C to +40 °C.
