Ajax Kit 27 S - Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller Wireless Alarm Kit with Touchscreen Keypad
Kit 27 S is built around the KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller, a keypad with a 5-inch IPS touchscreen that shows the state of the system and lets each user arm and disarm with a code, an Ajax Pass card or Tag fob, or their phone over Bluetooth. The screen wakes as someone approaches and can also hold buttons for up to six automation devices or groups. Alongside it are the Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller control panel, two Superior MotionProtect Jeweller motion detectors, a Superior DoorProtect Jeweller contact and two sirens, one indoor and one for an outside wall. All devices apart from the hub run on batteries and connect over Ajax's encrypted Jeweller radio. Choose black or white above.
Also listed as 111233 (black, Ajax article 111233.302.BL1) and 111234 (white, Ajax article 111234.302.WH1), and as Kit27 S.

Works with
Other Ajax Jeweller devices, including Superior and Baseline detectors, keypads, key fobs and sirens, up to the hub's limit of 100 devices. Ajax Pass cards and Tag fobs work with the keypad. Adding an Ajax detector with a built-in camera, such as a MotionCam model, brings photo verification to the system.
Common questions
Can users disarm with a phone instead of a code?
Yes. KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller accepts a smartphone with the Ajax app over Bluetooth, as well as codes, Pass cards and Tag fobs (cards and fobs sold separately).
Does the touchscreen keypad need mains power?
It runs on 6 AA lithium batteries, rated up to 1.5 years. Ajax notes that it needs an external power supply to keep the screen always on and to update its firmware.
What happens if the broadband or the power fails?
Ethernet and the two 2G SIMs work at the same time, and the hub switches from Ethernet to a SIM instantly. If the mains fails, the hub runs for up to 15 hours on its backup battery.
Will pets set off the motion detectors?
The Superior MotionProtect Jeweller detectors can be set to ignore animals up to 20 kg in weight and 50 cm tall. Ajax recommends fitting them at 2.4 m.
Can it report to an alarm receiving centre?
Yes. The hub supports SIA (DC-09), SurGard (Contact ID) and ADEMCO 685, as well as push notifications, SMS and calls to users.
