Ajax MotionCam Jeweller - Wireless Motion Detector with Built-in Camera
MotionCam Jeweller is a PIR motion detector with a small camera built in. When the system is armed and it picks up movement, it raises the alarm and takes a short series of pictures, which arrive in the Ajax app so you, or a monitoring station, can see what set it off. Alarms travel over the Jeweller radio and photos over a separate Wings channel, each reaching up to 1,700 m in open space. Infrared illumination lets the camera work in the dark, and HDR helps where a room has bright windows and dark corners. Two CR123A cells power it for up to 4 years. Choose black or white above.

Ajax hubs with photo verification over Wings, including Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller, Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, Hub BP Jeweller and Superior Hub Hybrid 2. ReX 2 Jeweller can relay its photos as well as its alarms. Ajax lists Hub (2G) Jeweller and Hub (4G) Jeweller as not supporting MotionCam detectors.
Common questions
When does it take photos?
This model takes pictures when the system is armed and it detects movement. If you also want photos on request, on a schedule or from a scenario, Ajax makes MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller for that.
Does it record video?
No. It takes still photos in a short series, up to 5 at the lower resolutions or up to 3 at 640 × 480.
Can it take pictures in the dark?
Yes. Infrared illumination lights the scene for the camera in low light and at night.
Which Ajax hub do I need?
A hub that supports photo verification over Wings, such as Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller or Hub 2 Plus Jeweller. Ajax lists Hub (2G) Jeweller and Hub (4G) Jeweller as not supporting MotionCam detectors.
Will my pets set it off?
Ajax rates it to ignore animals up to 20 kg and up to 50 cm tall when it is fitted at the recommended 2.4 m.
