MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller is an outdoor motion detector with a built-in camera, made to be fitted high on a wall, between 2 and 4 m. Two PIR sensors and a K-band microwave sensor watch up to 15 m across 90°, and when it goes into alarm it takes a short series of photos and sends them to the Ajax app over the Wings radio channel. PhOD means photo on demand: as well as photos on alarm, users can request a picture, or set photos on a schedule, from a scenario or when the system is armed or disarmed. The swivel mount and hood are in the box. Supplied in white.

Common questions
How high should it be fitted?
Ajax recommends 2 to 4 m. The swivel mount and hood that come in the box let you aim it at the area you want to cover.
What does PhOD mean?
Photo on demand. Besides taking photos when it goes into alarm, it can take a picture when a user asks for one, on a schedule, from a scenario or when the system is armed or disarmed.
Which hub does it need?
An Ajax hub with the Wings radio channel for photos, such as Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller or Hub 2 Plus Jeweller.
Will animals set it off?
This model has no pet immunity setting. It uses two PIR sensors plus a microwave sensor and SmartDetect filtering, so plan where it points.
How long do the batteries last?
Up to 3 years on the 6 CR123A batteries that come fitted. It can also run from an external 12-24 V DC supply.
Can someone cover it up?
The anti-masking system reports attempts to block its view, and a magnetometer reports attempts to tilt, move or remove it.
