Ajax MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller - Outdoor Motion Detector with Photo Verification
MotionCam Outdoor (PhOD) Jeweller guards gardens, drives and yards and shows you what set it off. It has two PIR sensors and a built-in camera with infrared lighting: when it detects movement while armed, it sends a short series of photos to the Ajax app, so you or a monitoring station can check the picture before acting. The PhOD version can also take photos on demand, on a schedule, when the system is armed or disarmed, or when an Ajax fire detector goes off. Alarms travel over the Jeweller radio and photos over a second channel, Wings. White, IP56, with a hood supplied.

Common questions
What does PhOD mean?
It marks the version that can take photos on demand as well as when the alarm goes off. Photo on demand is off by default and is switched on in the Ajax app.
How high should it be mounted?
Ajax recommends 0.8-1.3 m for this detector, which then covers from 3 m out to 15 m. The quick start guide shows the mounting steps.
Will animals set it off?
Ajax quotes pet immunity for animals up to 80 cm tall, whatever their weight.
How quickly do the photos arrive?
Up to 9 s at the default 320 × 176 resolution, or up to 20 s at 640 × 352. A series is 1 to 5 photos at the lower resolution or 1 to 3 at the higher one.
Does it work at night?
Yes. The camera has infrared lighting for dark and low-light conditions.
What grade is it?
Security Grade 2 and environmental class IV. Ajax does not list PD 6662:2017 for this model, so check with your insurer if your policy asks for it.
