Ajax MotionCam U Jeweller - Wireless PIR Detector with Photo Verification
MotionCam U Jeweller is an indoor wireless motion detector for Ajax alarms with a small camera built in. When the system is armed and it picks up movement, it raises the alarm over the Jeweller radio and then sends a short series of photos over the separate Wings channel, so you or a monitoring station can see whether it is a real intruder. Infrared lighting lets it take pictures in the dark. It covers up to 12 m across an 88.5° angle when fitted at 2.4 m, and it can be set to ignore pets up to 20 kg. Choose white or black above.

Common questions
When does it take photos?
This model takes photos when it raises an alarm, that is when the system is armed and it detects movement. If you also want photos on request, look at MotionCam U (PhOD) Jeweller.
How quickly do the photos arrive?
Up to 7 s at 160 × 120 px, up to 9 s at the default 320 × 240 px and up to 20 s at 640 × 480 px. Lower resolutions arrive faster.
Will my dog or cat set it off?
It can be set to ignore animals up to 20 kg and up to 50 cm tall, as long as it is fitted at the recommended 2.4 m.
Does it work in the dark?
Yes. The camera has infrared lighting for low light and HDR for scenes with bright and dark areas.
How long do the batteries last?
Up to 4 years on the two CR123A batteries supplied, by Ajax's calculation.
Can I fit it in a porch or garage?
Ajax rates it for indoor use only (IP50, -10 °C to +40 °C). For outside, Ajax makes separate outdoor detectors.
