Ajax MotionProtect Curtain Jeweller - Wireless Curtain PIR Detector
MotionProtect Curtain Jeweller watches a narrow, flat zone instead of a whole room. Its field is only 6° wide but 90° tall, so it can guard a line of windows, a set of doors or a corridor while people move freely in the rest of the space. It uses two PIR sensors, runs on one CR123A battery, and reports to the Ajax hub over the two-way Jeweller radio. A mounting bracket comes in the box. Choose white or black above.

What is a curtain detector for?
It covers a thin, flat slice of space rather than a whole room, so it can protect windows, doors or a passage while the rest of the room stays free to use.
How far does it reach?
From 6 to 15 m when fitted at 2.4 m with Correlation Signal Processing switched off, or 6 to 8 m with it switched on. The sensitivity setting also affects the range.
Can I use it with pets in the house?
Ajax says to fit it upside down to stop pets setting it off.
How long does the battery last?
Ajax quotes up to 3 years on the CR123A battery that comes fitted.
Can it go outside?
Ajax designs it for indoor use, with an IP54 housing and an operating range of -10 °C to +40 °C. Ajax makes separate outdoor curtain detectors for outside walls.
