Ajax WallSwitch Jeweller - Wireless Power Relay
WallSwitch Jeweller is a mains power relay for the Ajax system. It is wired into a 110-230 V circuit, takes its own power from that circuit and switches the phase to whatever is connected after it, such as lighting, a heater or a pump, at up to 13 A (3 kW resistive at 230 V). The load can be switched from the Ajax app, with the button on the relay, on a timetable, or automatically when the alarm is set or triggered. WallSwitch also measures the current, voltage, power and energy the load uses, which you can check in the app. Ajax says it should be fitted indoors by a qualified electrician. Supplied in black.

Works with
Ajax hubs that use the Jeweller radio, such as Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller and Hub 2 Plus Jeweller. Keep the hub firmware up to date before pairing. ReX 2 Jeweller can extend the radio range. Button Jeweller, LightSwitch Jeweller and LifeQuality Jeweller can switch it through scenarios, and DIN Holder mounts it on a DIN rail.
Common questions
WallSwitch Jeweller or Relay Jeweller?
WallSwitch is powered from the 110-230 V circuit it switches and measures the energy used. Relay Jeweller has a volt-free contact and its own 7-24 V DC supply, so it suits switching a separate circuit.
Do I need an electrician to fit it?
Yes. It connects into mains wiring, and Ajax says it should be installed by a qualified electrician, indoors only.
What happens if the current gets too high?
It cuts the power. After a current trip the power stays off until you restore it in the Ajax app. After a voltage or temperature trip, it comes back on by itself once the reading is normal again.
Can I see what a load is using?
Yes. The Ajax app shows the current, voltage, power and energy consumed by whatever WallSwitch is feeding.
Does it need batteries?
No. It runs from the 110-230 V supply wired to its IN terminals and uses up to 1 W.
