Dahua DHI-NVR5216-16P-XI — 16 Channel 16-Port PoE WizMind NVR
The Dahua DHI-NVR5216-16P-XI (also written NVR5216-16P-XI) is a 16 channel WizMind AI NVR: a 1U network video recorder, also called a CCTV recorder or security camera recorder, for up to 16 IP cameras of up to 32MP, with 16 built-in PoE ports. WizMind is Dahua's higher AI tier: this recorder runs face recognition, video metadata, perimeter protection and SMD Plus on the recorder itself.

What is the difference between WizMind (XI) and WizSense (EI)?
On this XI model Dahua lists video metadata extraction by recorder and more AI channels (for example 16-channel perimeter protection and 8-channel face detection) than the WizSense EI version of the same 16 PoE recorder.
What is video metadata?
Dahua lists 8 channels of metadata by recorder, extracting attributes of humans (9), motor vehicles (9) and non-motor vehicles (4) so recordings can be searched by them.
How much storage can I fit?
Two SATA ports, up to 20 TB each. Dahua notes this limit varies with environment temperature.
