When you need a pendant mount

Use one where the camera fixes to a horizontal surface overhead but a flush base would not work — under a deep soffit or canopy, from a high warehouse ceiling, beneath a car park deck, or anywhere the camera needs to hang below an obstruction to see past it.

The drop also puts the camera below light fittings and pipework, which stops the housing catching glare from its own infrared bouncing off a nearby surface. Cable runs internally through the stem, so nothing is exposed.

Choosing the right mount
