The DS-2CD2H86G2H-IZSY pairs a 1/1.8" 4K sensor with a motorised 2.8–12 mm varifocal lens in an IP67, IK10, NEMA 4X metal housing. Focal length and focus are set remotely from the browser or client software after mounting, so the view can be framed — and reframed later — without returning to the camera.
AcuSense deep-learning classification separates people and vehicles from foliage, rain, shadows and animals, so line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting trigger only on real targets. Face capture is supported.
Zoomed wide it behaves like a standard 4K turret: detect 89.2 m, observe 35.4 m, recognise 17.8 m, identify 8.9 m. Zoomed to tele it becomes something else entirely — detect 220 m, observe 87.3 m, recognise 44 m, identify 22 m. That tele identification distance is more than double what the 4 MP DS-2CD2H46G2H-IZSY manages (18.1 m) and roughly two and a half times any fixed-lens camera in this family. For long driveways, yard perimeters, car parks and approach roads this is the camera in the G2H range that actually reaches.
Be realistic about the night limit, though: the IR range is 40 m. Those 220 m and 22 m tele figures are daylight or lit-scene figures. In genuine darkness beyond 40 m you need ambient or supplementary lighting for the optics to be worth anything.
The maximum aperture here is F1.2, where the 4 MP DS-2CD2H46G2H-IZSY is F1.0. The larger 1/1.8" sensor more than compensates — minimum illumination is 0.0008 lux against the 4 MP model's 0.001 lux — but it is worth knowing that the two are not simply the same optics at different resolutions. This model also has a wider view at the short end (112.3° against 105.4°) and a 16 Mbps bit rate ceiling against 8 Mbps, so plan roughly double the storage per camera.
Metal base and metal cover rated IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X. IK10 is the top impact class in IEC 62262 — the rating to specify for ground-floor entrances, custody areas, school corridors, licensed premises and anywhere the camera sits within reach.
Up to about 22 m at the tele end of the zoom, or 8.9 m at the wide end, per Hikvision's published DORI figures. Both assume adequate light — the infrared reaches 40 m.
Yes. The lens is motorised, so focal length and focus are set from the web interface or client software.
No — line-in only, for an external microphone.
It supports ONVIF Profile S, T and G, so it will record on most ONVIF recorders. AcuSense classification is best supported on Hikvision recorders.
