Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/S(E) - 32 Channel 4 Bay AcuSense NVR

The Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/S(E) is a 32-channel AcuSense network video recorder in a 19-inch 1.5U rack chassis, with four SATA bays plus eSATA, AcuSearch and support for cameras up to 32 MP.

Important — this model has no PoE ports

The DS-7732NXI-I4/S does not power cameras. It has two gigabit network ports and expects camera power to come from switches. At thirty-two channels that is usually the right architecture anyway, but it has to be budgeted for. If you want sixteen of the channels powered directly by the recorder, the DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/S is the same machine with PoE on channels 1–16.

What the analytics actually do

AcuSearch lets you search recordings by what appeared in them rather than by time — on a 32-camera system recording continuously, that is the difference between finding an incident in minutes and losing a day to it.

ANPR is supported in the UK and Ireland with compatible cameras, reading plate number, colour and type alongside vehicle brand, colour and type. Face recognition holds 50,000 pictures across 16 libraries. Perimeter protection and motion detection 2.0 reduce false alarms by distinguishing people and vehicles from everything else.

Frequently asked questions

Does it power my cameras?

No. There is no PoE on this model — you need switches, or the DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/S which powers channels 1 to 16.

Does ANPR work on UK plates?

Yes, the United Kingdom and Ireland are both in Hikvision's supported list. It needs compatible cameras — tell us your models and we will confirm.

What is AcuSearch?

Search recordings by what appeared in them rather than by time.

Does it come with hard drives?

No. Four SATA drives up to 16 TB each, supplied separately — surveillance-rated, not desktop.

Is it RAID capable?

No. Four independent disks. For RAID at this scale, ask about the DS-9600 series.
