Hikvision DS-7732NXI-K4(D) - 32 Channel 4 Bay AcuSense 4K NVR

The Hikvision DS-7732NXI-K4(D) is a 32-channel AcuSense network video recorder in a 1.5U rack chassis, with four SATA bays, 256 Mbps of incoming bandwidth and on-device facial recognition and perimeter protection.

Important — this model has no PoE ports

The K4 does not power cameras. It has two gigabit network ports and expects camera power to come from PoE switches. At thirty-two channels that is the normal architecture — a site this size usually has structured cabling and a comms room — but the switches must be budgeted for.

Who is it for?

Larger sites that want AcuSense analytics without the price of the Ultra range: industrial units, schools, retail parks, multi-building estates. Thirty-two channels at 256 Mbps incoming with four drive bays.

Across thirty-two cameras, on-device classification is the difference between a system somebody watches and one nobody does. AcuSense decides whether an alarm was a person, a vehicle or neither on the recorder itself, and lets you search recordings by target type rather than working through hours of footage.

One number to check before you specify

Outgoing bandwidth is 160 Mbps against 256 Mbps incoming — lower than the recording capacity. On a site where several people review footage remotely at the same time, that is the ceiling you will meet first. If simultaneous remote review by multiple users matters, the Ultra DS-7732NI-M4 gives 400 Mbps out. Tell us how the system will be used and we will advise.

How does it compare to the DS-7732NI-M4?

The M4 is the Ultra model: cameras up to 32 MP rather than 12 MP, 8K output rather than 4K, 320 Mbps in and 400 Mbps out, and dual HDMI for a second screen. This K-series recorder is the more economical choice where the cameras are 4 MP and remote review is light.

What does AcuSense actually do?

It classifies alarms as person, vehicle or neither, on the recorder itself. Far fewer false alerts, and recordings searchable by target type.

How many can I play back at once?

16 channels synchronously.
