Hikvision iDS-7332HQHI-M4/S - 32 Channel 4 Bay AcuSense DVR

The Hikvision iDS-7332HQHI-M4/S is a 32-channel Ultra Series AcuSense DVR with four drive bays — the high-capacity, value-tier coax recorder for sites with a lot of cameras but modest resolution requirements.

Read this before you plan the channels

Perimeter protection runs on 8 channels only — and only on specific ports: channels 1, 2, 3, 4, 17, 18, 19 and 20.

That is a third of the coverage the HUHI version of this recorder offers, on a machine with the same channel count. If perimeter analysis matters across the site, that difference is worth more than the price gap. Cameras on other channels still get people-and-vehicle Motion Detection 2.0, which runs on all analogue channels by default.

Know what this tier records

Being straight about it: the HQHI tier tops out at 3K Lite / 5MP Lite at 12 fps — "Lite" meaning a reduced pixel count rather than true full resolution. Its HD-TVI input accepts up to 5MP.

For a large site of 1080p and 4MP cameras where capacity and channel count matter more than fine detail, that is exactly the right trade. If you need genuine 5MP or 8MP recording, the iDS-7332HUHI-M4/S is the model to look at instead.

Watch the bandwidth

200 Mbps incoming, 160 Mbps outgoing. Across 32 channels that is roughly 6 Mbps per camera — workable at this tier's resolutions, but worth checking against your camera list. The outgoing figure is what limits several people reviewing footage remotely at once, and it is rarely published by competitors.

What you'll need with it

Frequently asked questions

Which channels support perimeter protection?

Channels 1, 2, 3, 4, 17, 18, 19 and 20 only. Other channels record normally, with people-and-vehicle motion detection still active.

How does this compare to the HUHI version?

The HUHI records up to 8MP, takes 320 Mbps and runs perimeter protection on sixteen channels. This HQHI records Lite resolutions, takes 200 Mbps and runs it on eight. Choose on whether resolution and analytics coverage matter more than price.

What does "Lite" mean?

A reduced pixel count compared with the full resolution of the same name — it keeps more channels running on less processing. Fine for overview coverage, less so where you need to identify faces at distance.

How many cameras in total?

Up to 80 — thirty-two on coax plus up to forty-eight IP.

Does it come with hard drives?

No. Four SATA drives up to 12TB each, supplied separately.
