Ajax DoorBell - Wired Video Doorbell
DoorBell is the Ajax video doorbell for a front door, side door or gate. It runs from a low-voltage wired supply and connects to your router over Wi-Fi, so whoever presses the button can be seen and spoken to from the Ajax app. The 4 MP camera has a 155° horizontal view of the doorstep, and a PIR sensor works together with AI image analysis to pick out people, pets and vehicles. Add it to an Ajax hub and the Jeweller and Wings radio links act as a backup channel, and Ajax detectors can tell it to start recording when they go off. Choose white, black, graphite or grey above.

Works with
Ajax NVR recorders and Ajax Cloud Storage for recording. Ajax hubs with Jeweller and Wings radio, for the backup link and for scenarios where Ajax detectors start a recording (keep the hub firmware up to date before pairing). An existing wired door chime, connected with the BellKit supplied.
Common questions
Does it run on a battery?
No. It needs a wired low-voltage supply of 12-24 V DC or 16-24 V AC. The built-in 600 mAh battery is there to bridge short power cuts and to warm the unit in cold weather, not to run it day to day.
Can I keep my existing door chime?
Yes, if it is a wired chime. BellKit comes in the box for connecting it. With a chime connected, Ajax asks for a stronger supply: 12-24 V DC at 3 A or more, or 16-24 V AC at 10 VA or more.
Do I need an Ajax alarm to use it?
It connects over Wi-Fi and is used from the Ajax apps. Adding it to an Ajax hub brings in the Jeweller and Wings radio as a backup channel, and lets alarm detectors trigger recordings on the doorbell.
Where is the video stored?
On an Ajax NVR or in Ajax Cloud Storage. Video is H.264 and the doorbell also conforms to ONVIF Profile S.
How far can it see at night?
The infrared lights the scene up to 6 m away and changes its strength in real time, so a visitor standing close to the camera is not overexposed.
Where should it be fitted?
Ajax recommends 1.2-1.5 m above the ground and out of direct sunlight, which can overheat it. It is rated IP54 and works from -25 °C to +60 °C. Two wedge brackets come in the box if you need to angle it.
