Ajax ReX Jeweller - Wireless Range Extender (35280)
ReX Jeweller extends the reach of an Ajax wireless alarm. Detectors, keypads and sirens that are too far from the hub, or behind walls and floors that block the radio, connect to ReX instead, and ReX passes their messages on to the hub over Jeweller. That makes it useful for outbuildings, large houses, offices and sites spread over several floors. It plugs into the mains, keeps running on its built-in backup battery if the power goes off, and reports a tamper alarm if it is taken off its mounting panel. This listing is the white version.

Common questions
How many can I add to one system?
Up to 5 ReX Jeweller range extenders on one hub.
Will it pass on photos from MotionCam detectors?
No. ReX Jeweller relays the Jeweller radio only. For photos to pass through a range extender, Ajax makes ReX 2 Jeweller, which also carries Wings.
What happens in a power cut?
It switches to its built-in backup battery and keeps relaying. It can also be fed from a 12 V DC supply with the Ajax 12V PSU for Hub/Hub Plus/ReX.
Where should I put it?
Indoors, roughly between the hub and the devices that are struggling to connect, within reach of a mains socket. Ajax rates it IP20 for indoor use at -10 °C to +40 °C.
Is it graded for alarm use?
Yes. It is certified to Security Grade 2 and environmental class II by TREZOR TEST s.r.o. and listed against PD 6662:2017.
