Ajax SpeakerPhone Jeweller Wireless Voice Verification Module

Ajax SpeakerPhone Jeweller - Wireless Voice Verification Module

SpeakerPhone Jeweller adds two-way voice to an Ajax alarm. After an alarm, an operator at the monitoring station can speak to whoever is in the building and hear the reply, which helps them tell a real break-in or emergency from a false alarm and decide what to do next. Voice travels over Ajax's own VoRF radio protocol, while alarms and settings use Jeweller and firmware updates come over Wings. The 3 W speaker reaches up to 103 dB, speech can be heard up to 10 m away, and sound processing reduces background noise. It runs on four CR123 batteries or a 12 V supply. Choose black or white above.

Also listed as 87531 (black) and 87530 (white). Ajax model ID SP.Y.J.

Technical specification

Works with

Ajax hubs that support voice verification over VoRF, such as Superior Hub G3 Jeweller, and a monitoring station set up to take voice calls from the Ajax system.

Common questions

What is it for?

It lets a monitoring station operator talk to and listen to people on site after an alarm, so they can check what has happened before sending help.

Which hub do I need?

A hub that supports Ajax's VoRF voice protocol. Ajax lists VoRF on Superior Hub G3 Jeweller. Call us to check your own hub and firmware before ordering.

Will it notice if someone tampers with it?

Yes. It raises a tamper alarm if it is taken off the surface, reports attempts to damage its built-in microphone, and is held on its SmartBracket panel by a screw.

How is it powered?

By 4 × CR123 batteries, which Ajax calculates last up to 3 years, or by an optional 12 V DC supply, in which case the batteries become the backup.

Where should it go?

Indoors, at about 1.6 m high, where people are likely to be after an alarm. Ajax rates it IP50 for indoor use at 0 °C to +40 °C.
