Superior MultiTransmitter G3 Jeweller brings wired detectors into an Ajax wireless system. It has 18 wired zones for third-party devices such as door contacts, shock sensors, glass-break detectors, gas or water leak sensors and key switches, and it sends their alarms to the hub over Superior Jeweller radio, with a range of up to 3,500 m in open space. That makes it a practical way to keep the cabling from an existing wired alarm when moving to Ajax. The module comes in its own casing with a mains power supply, takes a 12 V backup battery of up to 7 Ah (sold separately) and can power the wired devices. This listing is the white version with a UK (type G) plug.

What can I connect to it?

Is a backup battery included?

No. It takes a 12 V battery of up to 7 Ah, which is sold separately. A battery connection cable is in the box.

Can it power the wired devices?

Yes, at 10.5-15 V DC and up to 1 A in total, with up to 0.4 A for fire detectors. If an output is short-circuited it cuts the power and sends an alert.

How is it different from MultiTransmitter Jeweller?

Both take up to 18 wired devices. The Superior G3 version is certified to Security Grade 3 and has a radio range of up to 3,500 m; MultiTransmitter Jeweller is Grade 2 with a range of up to 2,000 m.

Is there a black version?

Ajax also makes it in black. This page is for the white version, 160768.

Can it be fitted outdoors?

No. Ajax rates it for indoor use only (IP30, IK06), at -10 °C to +40 °C and humidity up to 75%.
