Ajax TurretCam (8 Mp/2.8 mm) - PoE Turret IP Camera
TurretCam (8 Mp/2.8 mm) is an 8-megapixel turret camera: a ball-shaped camera head in a fixed housing that is quick to aim on a wall or under a soffit. It records at 3840 × 2160 (4K) through a 2.8 mm lens that covers 100 to 110 degrees across, and its infrared LEDs reach up to 50 m in the dark. It spots people, pets and vehicles, records to a microSD card of up to 256 GB, and runs from PoE or 12 V. Ajax quotes identification of a person at up to 9 m and detection at up to 90 m. Choose black or white above.

Works with
Ajax NVR (8-ch) and NVR (16-ch) recorders, the Ajax apps, other ONVIF Profile G or S recorders, and Ajax intruder alarms: a scenario in the Ajax app can make chosen cameras start recording when an Ajax detector is triggered, and the clip is sent to the mobile or desktop app. Ajax lists the JunctionBox (118×59) and MountCam A1, A2, B1 and B2 mounts as compatible accessories.
Common questions
What is the difference between TurretCam and TurretCam HL?
This TurretCam uses infrared only, so night footage is black and white. TurretCam HL (8 Mp/2.8 mm) adds white LEDs for colour footage at night, each light reaching up to 50 m.
How far can it see in the dark?
The infrared LEDs reach up to 50 m and adjust their strength to avoid washing out nearby subjects.
What memory card does it take?
A microSD card of up to 256 GB, Class V30 or faster. The card is not included.
How is it powered?
Over PoE (802.3af/at, Class 3) from a switch, injector or recorder, or from a 12 V DC 1 A supply, which is not included. Ajax quotes 8.5 W on average.
Can it record when the alarm goes off?
On an Ajax system, yes. A scenario in the Ajax app can make Ajax detectors start recording on this camera and send the clip to the app.
Can it go outside?
Yes. It is rated IP66 and IK08 and works from -30 °C to +60 °C.
