Ajax TurretCam HL (8 Mp/2.8 mm) - PoE Turret IP Camera with Hybrid Lighting
TurretCam HL (8 Mp/2.8 mm) pairs an 8-megapixel (3840 × 2160) image with hybrid lighting: white LEDs and infrared LEDs, each reaching up to 50 m, so you can choose colour footage or black and white after dark. The turret shape is quick to aim on a wall or soffit, and the 2.8 mm lens covers 100 to 110 degrees across. It spots people, pets and vehicles, records to microSD or an Ajax NVR, and is powered over the network cable or from 12 V. Choose black or white above.

Works with
Ajax NVR (8-ch) and NVR (16-ch) recorders, the Ajax apps, other ONVIF Profile G or S recorders, and Ajax intruder alarms: a scenario in the Ajax app can make chosen cameras start recording when an Ajax detector is triggered, and the clip is sent to the mobile or desktop app. Ajax lists the JunctionBox (118×59) and MountCam A1, A2, B1 and B2 mounts as compatible accessories.
Common questions
What does HL mean?
Hybrid lighting. The camera has white LEDs for colour footage at night and infrared LEDs for black-and-white footage, each reaching up to 50 m. The standard TurretCam (8 Mp/2.8 mm) has infrared only.
How much detail does 8 MP give?
The top resolution is 3840 × 2160 (4K UHD). Ajax quotes identification of a person at up to 9 m and recognition at up to 18 m with this 2.8 mm lens.
How do I power it?
Over PoE (802.3af/at) from a switch, injector or recorder, or from a 12 V DC 1 A supply. No power supply is included.
Where does it record?
To a microSD card in the camera (not included) or to an Ajax NVR. It is ONVIF Profile G and S conformant for other recorders too.
Can it record when the alarm is triggered?
On an Ajax system, yes. A scenario in the Ajax app can make Ajax detectors start recording on this camera and send the clip to the app.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes. It is rated IP66 and IK08 and works from -30 °C to +60 °C.
