When you need a wall bracket

Dome and turret cameras are designed to mount flat to a ceiling or soffit. A wall bracket lets you fit one to a vertical surface instead and still aim it properly — essential on a house wall, a gable end, a shop frontage or the side of a unit where there is no overhang to fix to.

It also carries the cable internally, so the run is enclosed from the wall to the camera base. That keeps water off the connections and gives a much tidier finish than surface cable and a flush base.

Choosing the right bracket

• The bracket must match the camera. Hikvision brackets are model-specific — the fixing pattern and neck diameter have to line up with the camera base. Send us your camera model and we will confirm which bracket is correct before you order.
• Wall or pendant? A wall bracket comes out horizontally from a vertical surface. A pendant mount drops down from a ceiling or soffit. Pole and corner mounts adapt those to round posts and building corners.
• Colour. (B) is black, (G) or /G is grey, plain is white — match the camera for a deliberate-looking install.
• Genuine parts. Hikvision originals have the correct threads and seals. Generic brackets often fit loosely and let water track down into the camera.
