What you will need
- Surveillance-grade hard drives (e.g. WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk) sized to your camera count, resolution and retention period — this recorder takes up to two drives, each up to 26TB.
- Standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling to run power and video to each PoE camera — no separate PoE switch is needed as all 16 ports are built in.
- An HDMI or VGA monitor for initial setup and local live viewing (not required for day-to-day remote/mobile viewing).
