The Dahua IPC-PDW3859P-A-180-E2-AS-PV (listed by Dahua as the IPC-PDW3859-A180-AS-PV) is a panoramic eyeball camera from Dahua's WizSense 3 Series, in the TiOC range. Two 4MP sensors behind 2.8mm lenses are stitched with pixel-level splicing into one continuous 180° image at 4320 × 1944, so a single camera covers a whole frontage, yard or car park with no blind spot in the middle. It adds active deterrence with red and blue warning lights and alarm sounds, plus two-way talk.

Who is it for?
It suits wide areas that would otherwise need two or three cameras: building frontages, forecourts, gardens, yards, car parks and warehouse doors. SMD 4.0 and perimeter protection classify people and vehicles with stay and loitering detection, and when an alarm is triggered the camera can flash its red and blue lights, play a warning sound and let you speak to the person through its speaker.

Frequently asked questions
Is it one camera or two?
It is one camera with two 4MP sensors. The images are spliced inside the camera, so your recorder sees a single 180° stream and uses one channel.
Does it need PoE+?
Dahua specifies PoE+ (802.3at) because the camera can draw up to 14.8W with the warm light and deterrence running. It can also run from 12V DC.
Can I talk through it?
Yes. It has built-in dual microphones and speakers for two-way talk through the Dahua DMSS app or a compatible Dahua recorder.
Which colour should I choose?
Both versions are the same camera. Choose white for most rendered and painted walls, or black for dark fascias and cladding.
