Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1239TP-A-LED-S3: 2MP Full-Colour HDCVI Eyeball Camera
The Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1239TP-A-LED-S3 (listed by Dahua as the HAC-HDW1239T(-A)-LED, S3 version) is a 2MP full-colour HDCVI eyeball camera from Dahua's HDCVI Lite Series. An F1.0 aperture and four warm-light LEDs covering up to 40m keep the picture in colour 24 hours a day, while Smart Light+ concentrates the light within the lens's field of view to reduce stray-light glare. This version has a 2.8mm lens and a built-in microphone, with audio sent back to the recorder over the same coax cable.
Who is it for?
Homes, shops, schools, car parks and small business sites where you want colour evidence at night (clothing and vehicle colours) rather than black-and-white IR, while reusing existing coax cabling or installing a simple analogue HD system with an XVR.

Frequently asked questions
Does it record in colour at night?
Yes. The F1.0 lens and warm-light LEDs give full-colour video 24/7, with illumination up to 40m. There is no black-and-white IR mode on this model.
Does it record sound?
Yes. The built-in microphone picks up sound up to about 8m and the audio travels over the coax to a compatible Dahua XVR.
Will it work with my existing DVR?
It can switch between CVI, TVI, AHD and CVBS output, so it works with most HD analogue recorders. Audio over coax needs a Dahua HDCVI recorder.
What does the S3 mean?
S3 is Dahua's hardware version. The parameters on this page come from Dahua's S3 datasheet.
