Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-S2: 5MP Smart Dual Light HDCVI Eyeball Camera
The Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-S2 (Dahua model HAC-HDW1509T-IL-A-S2) is a 5MP eyeball camera from the Dahua HDCVI Lite Series. Smart dual light gives you IR or warm light up to 40m: paired with a Dahua AI XVR, the camera switches on its warm light for full-colour video when a person or vehicle enters a rule area, then drops back to IR to cut light pollution. A built-in microphone sends audio back over the same coax cable as the video.

What you will need
- A Dahua XVR (an AI XVR for the smart warm-light switching) with a free HDCVI channel
- RG59 coax (or Cat5e/6 with baluns) and a 12V DC supply to each camera
- A multi-way 12V power supply if you are fitting several cameras
Frequently asked questions
Does it record in colour at night?
Yes. In warm-light mode it records full-colour video at night up to 40m. In smart mode with a Dahua AI XVR it uses IR until a person or vehicle is detected, then switches to warm light.
Does it record sound?
Yes. It has a built-in microphone and sends audio to the recorder over the coax cable.
Will it work with my existing recorder?
The output switches between CVI, TVI, AHD and CVBS, so it works with most HD analogue recorders. The smart light switching needs a Dahua AI XVR.
Which colour should I choose?
All three are the same camera. White suits light walls and soffits; grey and black are less noticeable on dark brick, cladding and black fascias.
