The Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1800TLP-A (HAC-HDW1800TL-A) is an 8MP (4K) HDCVI IR eyeball camera from Dahua's HDCVI Lite Series. It sends 4K video and audio from its built-in microphone over standard coax, so it is a simple upgrade for an existing analogue system. Smart IR gives even night-time illumination up to 30m, DWDR and 2D NR help in backlit and low-light scenes, and the housing is IP67 rated.

Who is HDCVI for?
HDCVI sends HD video over standard coax, which is ideal for upgrading an existing coax-cabled analogue system without rewiring, and for long cable runs where the 100m IP limit is a problem.

What you will need
- A Dahua XVR / Penta-brid recorder that supports an 8MP HDCVI input, such as a Dahua Penta-brid XVR
- RG59 coax cable for video (and power on a shotgun cable)
- A 12V DC supply, or a multi-way power supply for several cameras
Frequently asked questions
Which lens should I choose?
Choose 2.8mm for the widest view, which suits most homes, entrances and small rooms. Choose 3.6mm when you want a little more detail further from the camera, such as along a driveway.
Can I mix this with my existing analogue cameras?
Yes. HDCVI works on Dahua Penta-brid recorders alongside older analogue, AHD and TVI cameras, with each channel recording at the resolution of the camera connected to it.
Will it record sound?
Yes. The built-in microphone sends audio over the coax to a Dahua recorder that supports audio over coax.
