The Dahua DH-HAC-HDBW2241FP-A-0280B-S2 (listed by Dahua as the HAC-HDBW2241F-A) is a 2MP Starlight mini dome from Dahua's HDCVI Pro Series. The Starlight sensor and 120dB true WDR hold detail and accurate colour in very low light and high-contrast scenes, and the -A version adds a built-in microphone with audio sent over the coax. A low-profile aluminium housing rated IP67 and IK10 suits both indoor and outdoor use.

What does Starlight mean?

Starlight is Dahua's low-light sensor technology. It lets the camera keep colour and detail at very low light levels before switching to IR.

Does it record sound?

Yes. The -A model has a built-in microphone and an audio input, and audio travels over the coax to a Dahua HDCVI recorder.

Is it suitable outdoors?

Yes. It is rated IP67 against dust and water and IK10 for impact resistance, and runs from -40°C to +60°C.

How far does the IR reach?

Up to 20m with Smart IR, which is well suited to rooms, corridors and entrances.
