Dahua DHI-NVR5208-8P-XI/Pro: 8 channel 8PoE WizMind AI NVR
The DHI-NVR5208-8P-XI/Pro is an 8-channel network video recorder from Dahua's WizMind NVR series. It has 8 built-in PoE ports and two hard-drive bays in a 1U case. Its AI runs on Dahua's Xinghan large-scale AI models. The recorder can do face recognition, video metadata, AcuPick and perimeter protection on 8 channels, even with standard cameras. Who is it for?
It suits businesses with up to 8 IP cameras that need fast searches after an incident, such as shops, offices, schools and warehouses. The built-in PoE means cameras connect with one cable each, with no separate switch.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between XI/Pro and EI models?
XI/Pro recorders are part of Dahua's WizMind range. They run large-scale AI models, with 8-channel face recognition, metadata and WizSeek search on the recorder. WizSense EI models have fewer AI channels.
Do I need a separate PoE switch?
No. The 8 PoE ports power and connect up to 8 cameras directly. ePoE allows longer cable runs.
Will it work with non-Dahua cameras?
Yes. It supports ONVIF (Profile T, S, G and M) and cameras from Panasonic, Sony, Axis, Arecont, Pelco, Canon and Hanwha.
Does it come with a hard drive?
It is sold without a hard drive. You can add one from the Hard Drive option on this page.
