Dahua DHI-NVR4104-EI: 4 channel WizSense NVR
The DHI-NVR4104-EI is a small 4-channel network video recorder from Dahua's WizSense NVR series. It has one hard-drive bay and takes IP cameras up to 16MP. The recorder runs its own AI, including face recognition, perimeter protection and SMD Plus. SMD Plus filters motion alerts down to people and vehicles, even with standard cameras. This is the non-PoE version, so cameras are powered by a PoE switch or their own supplies. See the wider Dahua WizSense range.
Who is it for?
It suits homes and small businesses with up to four IP cameras, especially where a PoE switch is already in place or the cameras are some way from the recorder.

Frequently asked questions
Does the NVR4104-EI have PoE ports?
No. It has one network port. If you want cameras to plug straight into the recorder, choose the DHI-NVR4104-P-EI instead.
Do I need AI cameras for SMD Plus?
No. SMD Plus, face recognition and perimeter protection run on the recorder for the channels listed above.
What is the largest hard drive it takes?
One SATA drive up to 20TB.
Does it come with a hard drive?
It is sold without a hard drive. You can add one from the Hard Drive option on this page.
