The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3849QMP-S-IL (listed by Dahua UK as the IPC-HDW3849QM-S-IL) is an 8MP (4K) fixed-lens eyeball camera from Dahua's WizSense 3 Series. Smart dual light gives you discreet IR at night, or switches to warm light for full-colour night video when something is detected. Deep learning analytics classify people and vehicles for SMD 4.0 and perimeter protection, AcuPick lets you find people and vehicles quickly in recordings with a compatible Dahua NVR, and a built-in microphone records audio.

Who is it for?
This camera suits driveways, entrances, shop fronts, car parks and commercial sites where you want the most detail from a compact eyeball camera. Human and vehicle classification filters out rain, leaves and animals, and the warm light gives colour evidence at night. Choose black to blend in with dark fascias, cladding or window frames.

Frequently asked questions
Which lens should I choose?
Choose 2.8mm for the widest view (110° horizontal), which suits most homes, entrances and small rooms. Choose 3.6mm (86°) for more detail at distance, such as down a driveway; its illumination also reaches further (40m). Select your lens and colour from the options at the top of this page.
Does it record in colour at night?
Yes. In smart dual light mode it uses IR until a person or vehicle is detected, then switches on the warm light for colour video. You can also set it to IR only or warm light only.
What is the difference between this and the DH-IPC-HDW3649QMP-S-IL?
This model has an 8MP (4K) sensor; the DH-IPC-HDW3649QMP-S-IL is the 6MP version with the same housing, smart dual light and analytics.
Will it work with a non-Dahua NVR?
Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, although AcuPick and the smart search features need a compatible Dahua recorder.
