The PSDW81642SP-A360-D425 is a multi-sensor hybrid camera from Dahua, pairing a fixed 16MP 360° panoramic head (8 x 2MP, 1/1.8" CMOS sensors, H: 360° / V: 103°) with a separate 4MP PTZ channel offering 25x optical zoom and 16x digital zoom. AR Panorama technology overlays live tags on the panoramic view, and Smart Tracking automatically slews the PTZ channel onto moving targets to deliver close-up detail. Built-in dual microphone and dual speaker allow real-time two-way talk.
Who is it for?
PTZ cameras cover a wide area from one mounting point, giving operators (or auto-tracking) pan/tilt/zoom control to follow activity or zoom into detail — useful for open sites, car parks, perimeters and any area too large for a single fixed camera to cover in detail. On this model the fixed panoramic channel keeps the whole scene in view while the PTZ channel is free to follow or zoom in on activity, so nothing is missed while detail is being reviewed elsewhere in the frame.

- A PoE network video recorder (NVR) with a free PoE port and enough channels/storage, or a PoE switch plus your existing NVR/VMS
- A wall or pole mounting position with a clear, elevated view of the area to be covered
- Outdoor-rated Cat5e/Cat6 cabling run back to the recorder or PoE switch
Frequently asked questions
Does this camera need a separate power supply?
No — it is PoE (Power over Ethernet) powered from a compatible NVR or PoE switch, so only a single network cable is needed.
What is the difference between the panoramic and PTZ channels?
The panoramic channel gives a fixed 16MP, 360° overview of the whole scene, while the separate 4MP PTZ channel can pan, tilt and zoom in up to 25x to follow or inspect detail — both channels record independently.
Can the camera track moving targets automatically?
Yes — Smart Tracking automatically detects and follows moving targets within the panoramic view, slewing the PTZ channel to keep them in frame.
How far can the built-in IR see at night?
The built-in IR illuminator on the PTZ channel has a maximum illumination distance of 100m.
