The NVR502-16B-IQ records up to sixteen IP cameras and can run Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP), Ultra Motion Detection (UMD) and face detection on the recorder itself. It has two SATA bays and runs from a DC 12 V/3 A supply.
What the NVR502-16B-IQ is for
Choose the NVR502-16B-IQ when a 16-channel recorder is needed and you want analytics without relying on the camera. With ordinary cameras it can analyse up to 4 channels for SIP (4 x 2MP, 2 x 4MP or 1 x 4K) and up to 8 for UMD (8 x 2MP, 4 x 4MP or 2 x 4K). Only one analyser mode can be active at a time.
Its specification lists no PoE ports, so cameras are powered by a separate PoE switch. Incoming bandwidth is 320 Mbps with Smart Off and 160 Mbps with Smart On, and outgoing is 160 Mbps, so check your combined camera bitrate if you turn analytics on.
